We all survived the earthquake-many of us rode it out together in our office. We were all very fortunate. We didn’t lose a single picture off the wall and no one was injured. Our homes and pets needed a lot more TLC as many of us had lots of broken glass and debris to pick up, but we are no worse for wear. We are still a little bit worn out and exhausted from all the aftershocks, but I am proud of our team and mostly of the Anchorage/Valley/Peninsula areas for rallying and making the best of a tough situation. My son said the upshot to this is that winter-time construction will be on the rise for the first-time ever. It made me smile because in our house, we always search for the silver lining. 🙂
As I am writing this, we just got hit with another “aftershock” registering 4.7. We are just trying to stay below 5.0 at this point.
We are still suspended for writing Personal Lines. As soon as it’s lifted, we will send out a message. As for Commercial Lines, we are business as usual!
